so disappointing

i have given up all hope of getting along with
"he" who shall remain nameless
i have officially (as of last friday at around 2:30pm)
lost any shred of respect that i was still clinging to

now i have 3 days to get caught up after being derailed
and then derailed again
3 days before i go back before he who has nothing nice to say
3 days to regroup and get my ducks back in line
3 days to practice my steely resolve
3 days to finish this voo doo doll
(all i need is a lock of his snowy white hair)

my other project:
the identity for "exchange" the diy network is going swimmingly
still doing research and defining my target audience
it's fun & i can't wait to get to the designing part

lather rinse repeat

a sense a pattern emerging
once again i am really excited about one project
and luke warm about the other

i had my first problem solving class on monday
and we have to invent a cable channel
i have decided on the DIY network and am doing research on
ready made and make
i have to come up with a profile (or 2) of my target audience
and what their various interests would be
this project has captured my imagination
and i can't wait to start working on it

but what i actually need to be doing
on these 3 days before the dreaded friday
is work on my degree project
which i am still somewhat excited and interested in
but the dark force that i have to negotiate with
just might give me ulcers

on a lighter note:
i got my hair cut today

stress

it all starts tomorrow
i am trying to tell myself that i can only do what i can do and that's all i can do
i am far from perfect and all i can do is my best

but there is this gnawing expectation that i have
that this should somehow all be effortless and perfect

and right now i am procrastinating
i should get started

this weekend we are hooking up the G5
we got the adapter we need to move the drive over
but we want to do it when i'm not up against the deadline of tomorrow
hopefully with the new computer will come the ability to hook up the new camera
which will make posting new photos easier

ok, now i need to get some REAL work done

i am now the age projected (when i transferred into this institution) for graduation

i had an excellent birthday
i went to yoga
the G5 was delivered (it's SO pretty)
josh got me very groovy little time pieces
that i have been admiring from afar for a year or 2
and he made me a beautiful necklace
i went to the spa up the street and had a 90 minute massage
and then came home for a bubble bath
and then i lounging around reading (i finished buddy does seattle)
before we went to morimoto
and had the tasting menu
which was amazing and delicious:
oysters, monkfish liver, scallops, peking duck, red snapper sashimi & various assorted sushi

tonight i am going to the ellen lupton lecture
and then tomorrow i really start working on my thesis poroject
(for real yo)
one week til school starts

faster than a speeding bullet

we bit the big one and decided to update the big mac
we ordered a new G5 last week
and i am currently stalking it's every move on fedex.com
it's being delivered on my birthday
very very VERY exciting
i can't wait to see how much faster things will go
i am a little concerned about the transferring of all the everything
i guess that will probably suck up all of next weekend

i am slowly chipping away at my to do list
today i start scanning and collecting all my undergrad work
in preparation for my print portfolio
and maybe do a few web site sketches

the coming week will be dedicated to working on my thesis project
i guess i am feeling relatively prepared for the next semester
here it comes ready or not, 12 more days of freedom
